The Geissele GFW 5.56 NATO 8-Inch SBR is an ultra-compact semi-automatic rifle built around Geissele Automatics’ GFW, or Geissele Freedom Weapon, architecture.

Its factory configuration combines an 8-inch cold-hammer-forged chrome-lined barrel with a 1:7 twist, custom pistol-length gas system, proprietary monolithic bolt-carrier/buffer architecture and a dual-telescoping stock.

In addition, the GFW uses Geissele’s 7-inch MK16 handguard, SSA X trigger, Airborne Charging Handle, Super Configurable Safety Selector, Stressproof Bolt and HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD 5.56.
