DETAILS
Blaser K95 Luxus Single-Shot Rifle
The Blaser K95 Luxus builds on the compact K95 single-shot platform with more detailed woodwork and engraving. It keeps the straightforward break-action layout of the standard K95 while adding a grade 4 wood stock, engraved receiver and black trigger.
Blaser currently lists the K95 Luxus with a choice of animal or arabesque engraving patterns. At the same time, the rifle keeps the simple lines and light appearance associated with the K95 family. You can find the current model details on the official Blaser K95 Luxus page.
The result is a traditional single-shot rifle with more decorative detail than the standard K95 without changing the basic mechanical layout.
Blaser K95 Luxus Design
The Blaser K95 Luxus uses the compact break-action construction found throughout the K95 range.
Rather than using a magazine or repeating action, the K95 uses a single-shot layout. As a result, the action remains compact and the overall shape stays clean.
Blaser combines this simple mechanical arrangement with more detailed finishing on the Luxus version. The current model includes grade 4 wood, a black trigger and a choice of engraved motifs. Blaser also lists a standard round barrel contour for the current K95 Luxus.
In addition, the stock and fore-end follow traditional European sporting-rifle lines. This gives the Luxus version a recognizable appearance without covering the rifle in unnecessary decoration.
Engraved Receiver
The engraving forms one of the clearest differences between the K95 Luxus and simpler K95 versions.
Blaser offers several decorative patterns, including animal scenes and arabesque designs. Current choices include motifs featuring chamois, roe buck, red deer and wild boar, while arabesque engraving provides a more traditional alternative.
Therefore, different K95 Luxus examples can look noticeably different even though they share the same basic action.
Earlier and current Blaser catalogs also describe the Luxus receiver with a choice of engraved motifs. For that reason, the exact engraving should match the individual rifle shown in the photographs rather than using a general description for every example.
Grade 4 Wood Stock
Blaser fits the current K95 Luxus with grade 4 wood as standard.
The higher wood grade gives the stock more visible grain and figure than the standard K95 stock. However, the basic shape remains traditional rather than overly decorative.
Blaser’s catalog also lists a stock with a Bavarian cheek piece and double rabbet for the K95 Luxus. An optional left-hand stock has also been available for the model.
Meanwhile, the fore-end follows the slim proportions of the K95 barrel and action. Together, the stock and fore-end keep the rifle balanced visually without making the woodwork look bulky.
K95 Single-Shot Layout
The K95 family uses a true single-shot arrangement.
The shooter opens the break-action system to access the chamber. Once closed, the compact action forms the simple profile that defines the K95 platform.
Because of this, the rifle does not need the larger receiver normally associated with magazine-fed rifles.
Blaser has developed the K95 platform over several decades and continues to list it as its single-shot rifle range.
At the same time, the simple layout gives the Luxus version plenty of room for the engraved action and shaped wood stock to remain visible.
Blaser Tilting Block Lock
The K95 uses Blaser’s tilting block locking system as a major part of its action.
Blaser highlights this lock as one of the central mechanical features of the K95 platform.
As a result, the K95 combines a compact break-action receiver with a solid locking arrangement.
The tilting block also allows Blaser to maintain the simple single-shot layout without adding a larger bolt-action receiver.
Furthermore, this system gives the K95 its distinctive mechanical character and separates it from conventional bolt-action hunting rifles.
Manual Cocking System
The Blaser K95 Luxus uses the K95 manual cocking system.
Blaser places the cocking slide at the rear of the action. The current K95 design also includes automatic decocking and supports Blaser’s iC function with compatible optics.
Therefore, the cocking mechanism forms an important part of the K95 action rather than relying on a conventional safety lever alone.
When the rifle remains uncocked, the firing mechanism stays relaxed. In addition, the compact location of the cocking slide helps keep the outside of the rifle uncluttered.
This system appears across the K95 family, so the Luxus version retains the same basic operating concept while adding its more detailed wood and engraving.
Black Trigger and K95 Trigger Design
Blaser gives the Luxus version a black trigger, which the manufacturer specifically lists among the model’s standard features.
The trigger provides a small visual contrast against the receiver and woodwork.
However, it also belongs to the wider K95 trigger system rather than serving only as decoration. Blaser describes the K95 platform as using its match trigger with a crisp trigger characteristic.
As a result, the black trigger becomes both a recognizable visual feature of the Luxus trim and part of the K95’s overall mechanical design.
Traditional Break-Action Construction
The K95 follows a traditional break-action arrangement.
The barrel pivots away from the action when the rifle opens. Therefore, the rifle maintains a simple single-shot layout without a magazine or conventional bolt.
This type of construction also gives the K95 its short receiver.
At the same time, Blaser uses modern manufacturing and locking parts within the traditional layout. That combination gives the rifle a classic appearance without simply copying an older break-action design.
The Luxus version keeps this basic construction unchanged while adding more detail to the receiver and stock.
Standard Round Barrel
Blaser currently lists the K95 Luxus with a standard round barrel contour.
This barrel profile matches the clean lines of the rifle and keeps the standard Luxus version visually simple.
Meanwhile, other K95 versions can use different barrel profiles. For example, the K95 Stutzen Luxus uses an octagonal barrel according to Blaser’s catalog.
For that reason, do not describe an individual K95 Luxus as having an octagonal barrel unless the actual firearm shown has that configuration.
Caliber Options
The K95 platform has appeared in a wide range of calibers over the years. Blaser’s published K95 information has covered chamberings ranging from smaller cartridges through larger hunting calibers.
However, the exact caliber depends on the individual rifle and barrel.
Therefore, the product specifications should use the caliber marking found on the actual barrel. This avoids adding a chambering simply because Blaser offered it somewhere within the wider K95 range.
If the rifle includes an interchangeable barrel, list that separately rather than treating it as standard equipment.
Blaser Saddle Mount Provision
Blaser designed the K95 around the company’s Saddle Mount system.
The current K95 Luxus page lists mounting arrangements for several scope systems, including ZEISS, Swarovski and Schmidt & Bender rails, as well as prism rails and conventional mounting rings.
As a result, the platform can accommodate different optic arrangements while keeping the mounting system close to the barrel.
If the individual rifle includes a scope, list the actual manufacturer, model and magnification separately in the specifications.
That way, the product description stays accurate rather than assuming that every K95 Luxus carries the same optic.
Classic K95 Luxus Appearance
The combination of figured wood, engraved metalwork and the compact single-shot action gives the K95 Luxus its recognizable appearance.
However, the rifle does not need excessive styling to distinguish itself from the standard model. The grade 4 wood and receiver engraving provide most of the visual difference.
The black trigger adds a smaller finishing detail. Meanwhile, the round barrel and slim fore-end keep the overall shape straightforward.
The official Blaser K95 Luxus information provides further details about the current version. Additional sporting-arm catalog information is also available through Gunvexa.
K95 Luxus Engraving Choices
Blaser offers several engraving choices for the Luxus version.
Depending on configuration, these can include:
- Roe buck
- Wild boar
- Chamois
- Red deer
- Arabesque engraving
Blaser’s 2024 catalog lists several combinations of these designs across the right and left sides of the receiver.
Therefore, the engraving should always be described according to the individual firearm.
If the photographs show arabesques, use arabesque engraving in the specifications. Likewise, if the receiver shows an animal scene, describe that specific motif rather than simply calling it an engraved action.

About the Blaser K95 Luxus Platform
Blaser developed the K95 Luxus as a more decorated version of its K95 single-shot rifle.
The Luxus configuration adds grade 4 wood, engraved receiver details and a black trigger while retaining the compact K95 break-action platform.
As a result, the model differs visually from the simpler K95 versions without changing the basic idea behind the rifle.
The manual cocking system and tilting block lock remain important parts of the K95 design. In addition, the Saddle Mount arrangement gives the platform several options for compatible optics.
The traditional wood stock provides another defining feature. Meanwhile, the animal and arabesque engraving choices allow different Luxus examples to have their own appearance.
