DETAILS
Kahles K1050i FT 10-50×56 Competition Riflescope
The Kahles K1050i FT is a high-magnification competition riflescope built specifically around the requirements of Field Target shooting. It combines a 10-50x magnification range, 56 mm objective lens, illuminated reticle and a specialized parallax system that focuses from 8 to 60 metres.
Kahles developed this model with competition use in mind rather than adapting a conventional hunting scope. As a result, the K1050i FT includes several features that directly reflect Field Target requirements, including very high magnification and a large parallax adjustment wheel.
At the same time, its 30 mm main tube and straightforward black exterior give the scope a relatively traditional competition-optic appearance.
You can find more information through the official Kahles competition riflescope range.
Kahles K1050i FT 10-50×56 Optical System
The Kahles K1050i FT provides variable magnification from 10x to 50x.
That 5x zoom range allows the scope to move from its lower 10x setting to very high 50x magnification without changing optics.
Kahles lists a 56 mm objective lens together with an exit pupil range of approximately 5.5 to 1.1 mm. The manufacturer also specifies 95 mm eye relief.
Therefore, the K1050i FT combines a relatively large objective lens with the high magnification required by its competition-focused design.
In addition, the optical system uses a second-focal-plane reticle, so the apparent reticle size remains visually consistent as magnification changes.
10-50x Magnification Range
The broad magnification range forms one of the main features of the K1050i FT.
At the lower end, the optic provides 10x magnification. At the upper end, it reaches 50x.
Kahles developed the model specifically for competition disciplines where seeing small targets and reading fine visual details matter. The company describes the K1050i FT as optimized for Field Target competitions.
As a result, 50x is not simply an unusually large number added to a general-purpose optic. It forms a central part of the scope’s intended design.
Meanwhile, the 10x lower setting provides a much wider view than the maximum magnification setting.
56 mm Objective Lens
The K1050i FT uses a 56 mm objective lens.
This objective diameter gives the front of the scope its recognizable competition-optic profile.
Factory specifications list an M58 x 0.75 objective filter thread, which also matches several Kahles accessories made for its 56 mm competition optics.
In addition, Kahles lists compatible accessories such as objective covers and sunshields for 56 mm models.
The large objective works together with the high-magnification optical system. Therefore, the 56 mm specification should appear clearly in the product title and technical details without repeating it in every paragraph.
Field Target Competition Design
Kahles developed the K1050i FT specifically for Field Target shooting.
The company describes the model as designed for precise shooting at small targets and relatively short distances. Kahles also highlights its specialized parallax adjustment as a central feature of the Field Target version.
Because of this, the K1050i FT differs from the standard K1050.
The standard current K1050 10-50×56 focuses from approximately 8 metres to infinity and uses a non-illuminated MOAK reticle. The K1050i FT, by contrast, uses the 8-60 m Field Target parallax system and an illuminated MHR reticle.
That distinction matters when creating a product page.
If your scope is marked K1050i, do not use specifications from the current non-illuminated K1050 by mistake.
Specialized 8-60 m Parallax Adjustment
The parallax system gives the K1050i FT much of its identity.
Kahles specifies a focus range from 8 to 60 metres for the Field Target version.
More importantly, Kahles integrates the parallax mechanism with the elevation-turret area rather than using an ordinary side-focus arrangement.
The manufacturer describes this design as a patented system and highlights the large parallax wheel as a major part of the K1050i FT configuration.
As a result, the scope has a very recognizable turret area.
The large wheel also explains part of the weight difference between the K1050i FT and the standard K1050.
